Brian Learey, a Secret Service spokesperson, said the Secret Service was notified by the FBI of alarming emails from Caluori.
At the time of Caluori's arrest, Federal Way police recovered two weapons from the man's home in the Panther Ridge Apartment complex at 109 S. 337th Lane in Federal Way. When Secret Service officers and Federal Way police responded to his apartment, he was brandishing a shotgun.
Federal Way Police officers said they've never had run-ins with him before.
Bob Kierstead, the Secret Service assistant special agent in charge, said that federal agents swept the apartment complex, with the help of the Federal Way Police Department, for possible explosive devices. Evacuations were made in surrounding apartments. No explosives were found.
