As happens often, political leaders led by their faith do not understand the consequences of their actions. Take for example the case of Bobby Jindal. Earlier this year, he signed into law a bill which would open up religious institutions into the charter school system of his state. He felt that this would allow for the teaching of his form of religion, as did most of those who supported the measure, secure in their fantasies that only their faith qualified.

Sadly, their dreams were shattered when reality struck, and Islāmic schools began applying for the charter. They were powerless as in the process to open up the schools to religious indoctrination, they failed to account for the fact that there is more than one religious group in the United States. While they managed to pressure the Muslim school to withdraw, it is unlikely that they will be able to handle the flood of religious groups which will now seek out Louisiana as a safe haven within which to spread their gospels, mainstream or not.
