Wisconsin Gov Scott Walker has help in fending off a recall:

Asked about his efforts to sway public opinion, [David] Koch acknowledges his group is hard at work in places such as Wisconsin, where Gov. Scott Walker is facing off with public unions and grappling with a likely recall vote.

"We're helping him, as we should. We've gotten pretty good at this over the years," he says. "We've spent a lot of money in Wisconsin. We're going to spend more."

The Koch brothers are giving Walker that help because:
Goal Thermometer

"What Scott Walker is doing with the public unions in Wisconsin is critically important. He's an impressive guy and he's very courageous," Koch says after a benefit dinner of salmon and white wine. "If the unions win the recall, there will be no stopping union power."

Right-wing billionaires are pouring hundreds of thousands of dollars into keeping Scott Walker in office because they see him as key to stopping "union power." Looking at the amount of power unions have in this country—hint: not much—you can see just how thoroughly the Koch brothers want to crush unions, and how central to that Scott Walker is, whether as an active force in the state of Wisconsin or as a national figurehead for union-busting.

Yet another example of how the Koch Brothers use their money to subvert democracy in America.

Yet another example of how the Koch Brothers use their money to subvert democracy in America.

The same argument could be made against unions using their members hard earned dues to overturn the will of the majority in rewarding a tiny minority of workers with lavish taxpayer funded benefits. With 85% of the state paying for 15% of the workers belonging to unions I think it is time to speak out against the 15% who are demanding from the rest of the 85%.

http://www.bls.gov/ro5/unionwi.pdf

UNION MEMBERSHIP IN WISCONSIN - 2010In 2010, the number of workers belonging to a union in Wisconsin was 355,000, the U.S. Bureau ofLabor Statistics reported today. Regional Commissioner Charlene Peiffer noted that union membersaccounted for 14.2 percent of wage and salary workers in Wisconsin in 2010, compared to 15.2 percentreported in 2009. At its peak in 1989, the first year state data were available, the union membership ratefor the State was 20.9 percent. (See chart 1 and table A.)

One of the reasons Walker is being recalled to to remove the Koch brothers influence from our state. Most people here do not appreciate the Koch scum sticking their noise in our affairs.

Kochs have to keep their operative in place - how else to get rid of the unions and replace them with even fewer people to run the government the way THEY want it to be run!

Unions have control of about 15% and demanding will over the remaining 85%?

How about the Kochs representing 1 (person - not even 1%) demanding their will over the remaining 100%!

texasguy, but the union represents the interests of 335,000 Americans, vs. one Koch, that's why they are not the same.

15% of Wisconson workers vs the 85% actually. You are following your Alinsky rules well.

13. Pick the target, freeze it, personalize it, and polarize it. In conflict tactics there are certain rules that [should be regarded] as universalities. One is that the opposition must be singled out as the target and 'frozen.'...

"...any target can always say, 'Why do you center on me when there are others to blame as well?' When your 'freeze the target,' you disregard these [rational but distracting] arguments.... Then, as you zero in and freeze your target and carry out your attack, all the 'others' come out of the woodwork very soon. They become visible by their support of the target...'

"One acts decisively only in the conviction that all the angels are on one side and all the devils on the other." (pps.127-134)

Texas, simple math is not a liberal conspiracy, neither is logic, 335,000 is more than 1, everyday, all day.

Texasguy - Alinsky rules? Looks like you know your Fox talking points well!

It isn't 15% vs. 85%, here. Fact is, Wisconsin voters didn't get what they were told they were getting when they voted for him. Now, they are exercising their rights to return the slob for false advertising. And, they are finding out just whose pocket Walker is in. The Koch's could purchase the entire state of Wisconsin and not even notice. How's that 15% vs. 85% for you?

Either you are among the wealthy that thinks this kind of democracy is a good thing, or you watch too much Faux News. Alinsky, that's rich!

Yup...that seems to be the core of the recall...Walker said one thing to get elected and did another thing when he got power...just like the rest of the Republicans elected in 2010.

They finally admitted what has been known by the average intelligent people around the world. So, there can be no more denials from the Walker camp or GOPTeaBags that the Koch Brothers are not heavily influencing and buying Walker's recall fight.

And...that admission just might get them in hot water up stream.

"Money can't buy you love" but it sure does buy you a lot of propaganda! Why does the right feel it need to spend billions to convince you they are your best friend? The fact is the billions spent convinces some people to vote against their own self interests. Lets hope they go broke doing it.

Heheh!

This is rich....David Koch wants to pour more money into the failure that is Scott Walker. Walker has to be the most UNPOPULAR governor in the United States. Precisely BECAUSE of that money, and what it "purchased."

The idea of any politician being bought and owned being not just distasteful, but DETESTABLE by the American people just hasn't crossed those peas passing for brains in the Koch family.

But that's cool....The perception is out there, and it's not in Walker's favor, so let the silver-spooners burn more cash. It won't do any good (not that it ever did...).

Interesting koch TRYING to pin the recall on just the Unions.

Koch CLEARLY thinks Wisconsin citizens are SAPS to believe it is just about Unions.

News flash to koch, Wisconsin citizens are wise to you and KNOW it is NOT only about Unions. IT IS about ALL Wisconsin citizens.

Koch conspiracy to take over Wisconsin government as puppet master of puppeteer Walker even clearer now. Koch should fry in hell for his meddling with the good Wisconsin people and their well being just to make a @!$%#ing buck. Koch is a tool of the anti- christ if there ever was one.

Well, I liken the Wisconsin voters to the person who arranged for a purchase to be boxed, got it home and found out what the took out wasn't what they purchased! Now, they are demanding their money back. Good for Wisconsin. Hopefully, this will cost the Kochs a nominal fortune and they will have flushed it down the toilet. THAT would be a great F.U. from the Wisconsin voters to that lot!

According to corn4husker for palin, Koch only wants to cure cancer

Screw over enough people and some are not going to be happy and do stupid things like death threats.

I kind of surprised he doesn't get more.

What this shows is the rich and powerful can buy the candidates. The people don;t have anything to say about it. This country is going to be owned and run by the wealthy and corporations. They are going to buy their way to power. So get ready people you either won't have a job or you will be working for $3.00 per hour with no benefits. Believe me when I say it is coming.
