Tea Party Rep. Allen West (R-FL) apparently doesn't like being put on notice by "idiot Liberals" who criticized him for committing a star-spangled violation while scuba diving with the American flag. Here's what Florida's New Times had to say about West's patriotic aquatic adventure last week:

There's nothing really bad to say about Rep. Allen West going diving off the coast of Deerfield Beach with a bunch of military veterans — except for the fact that he violated U.S. federal law in the process and provided a pictorial of himself doing so.

Responding to the criticism, West writes that people who highlighted his violation "are probably just jealous because they cannot dive to 80 ft into a hard current and proudly carry an American flag":
